I made the mistake to buy first MacGourmet deLuxe4. A got accustomed with it and the lack of instructions is not so disabling in my view as the other reviewer has said. Surely, some tutorial would not have gone amiss, in that I agree with him.ĭays later I bought also the main competitor, Paprika Recipe Manager 3.įirst of all, similarities: both applications offer for recipe import some 38 cookery books. You might think this is a lot, but they are all utterly American none of them has a mentionable author if you are interested in, say, a French or an Italian or even a British author, you will be thoroughly disappointed. The main difference between the two is that in Paprika you can import single recipes, whereas in MacGourmet you have to import whole books of recipes, which clutter hopelessly your recipe list with hundreds of unwanted recipes. This is a major drawback of MacGourmet, and makes it rather useless.
